Presentation Topic: An introduction to the housingplanning
process for people with disabilities including:
 Making housing goals using the Person-Centered
Planning process and Self-Determination principles
 Creating a housing budget, including private and public
funding sources
 Deciding the appropriate level of direct care and other
supports
 Options for affordable housing through renting or buying
 Finding a roommate to share housing costs and
companionship

March 9th there will be a presentation at Troy by Dale Rohrbach from Oakland Community College. He will be discussing the transition to college for students with IEPs.  The presentation will begin at 7pm.  See flyer for more information.


On My Own Open House

On My Own of Michigan is planning an Open House for prospective members on Friday March 10th from 6-8pm. At this Open House, interested families can hear first-hand from members and their families about On My Own and the services that they can provide to assist with independent living, community participation and socialization.

Living and Learning Northville - DATE CHANGES for Friday and Saturday Night Social Evenings

The following information is from Living and Learning in Northville:

"Good morning.  Please mark your calendars.  We are changing the weekends for February and March for Friday Nigh Hang Out and Saturday Night Hang Out.  We are going to be on a bi-weekly schedule.  The following dates are as follows:

3/11/17

3/25/17

These dates will also be posted on Face book, our website and on the front door of the Living and Learning, LLC.  The time will remain the same from 6 pm - 9 pm.  The cost will remain the same as well.  Fifty dollars for (1) evening or a package of (4) evenings for $180.00.
