Getting My Own Address - Final Presentation



Presenter: Linda Ronan Brown, Getting My Own Address
program co-founder and coordinator, and mother of two
sons living in their own house with a roommate and support.



Presentation Topic: An introduction to the housingplanning
process for people with disabilities including:
 Making housing goals using the Person-Centered
Planning process and Self-Determination principles
 Creating a housing budget, including private and public
funding sources
 Deciding the appropriate level of direct care and other
supports
 Options for affordable housing through renting or buying
 Finding a roommate to share housing costs and
companionship

Cost: $30/person.
Pre-registration is required 48 hours (two days) prior to

Note: Seating is limited. We reserve the right to cancel and
reschedule the presentation if registrations fail to meet the minimum
participation level. Refunds will be offered only for cancellations
